I’m not so sure.. which one I like more. I definitely love the body shape of the Grassroots, but I would have to buy some 200$ EMG’s to go in it. I haven’t head much about nor played any Dean Vendettas. And the Jackson I’m sure is a great guitar.. I’d love to get my hands on any one of these..

I’ve never fully been able to understand my fascination with this movie. from a critic’s point of view, it’s not overly comedic, nor exciting, nor dramatic. I’ve rarely found a film such as this which absorbs me into its atmosphere so well. Like a kid-y roller coaster that you never want to get off of.

Might anyone know information on cleansing methods for the body? Do you think stress can be a potent toxin?

I look forward to the future

I’m not sad, nor depressed, Funerals, strangely have no real effect on me. I’ve never cried at one nor felt sad. I believe the one thing that I don’t like at funerals is perhaps seeing all of my relatives cry. This reminds me, perhaps I should give a background on my relatives. My fathers side come from poor farmer class, and not many of them have kept healthy life styles. They are all very rugged, Cowboy Culture, Country Music loving people. This isn’t my style of life, and I’ve never quite liked it myself; but they have always been loving accepting people. Even though every time I see them I don’t feel quite like I fit in with them, they try their best to make me feel like a part of the family (I’m one of the youngest generations of the family). I take inspiration in the amount of care all these relatives have for each other.

Every year there has been a grand get together at Thanksgiving. We all eat together and share experiences and aspirations. Then as the day fades they pull out cards and change then enjoy various games such as Poker, or Texas-Hold-’Em. At this yearly event I’ve seen the Man who’s funeral I attended every year. He was my Grandfather’s Brother-in -Law. From the little I knew and experienced of him, he was a nice man, always warm and generally interested in the workings of your life. From what I know, he didn’t died in pain, but simply declined; “He Looked the same from when we got there, to when he passed”, my Step-Grand-Mother told me.

Yet I look at everyone around me, and I’m just confused as to why they cry. I know this sounds ignorant, because it is. I haven’t spent a lifetime with any of these people, I’ve just seen then occasionally. they have every right to feel how they feel, and I will try my best to comfort. So a few questions fill my head.. Why doesn’t death bother me and never has? Why didn’t I feel hurt when both my grandmothers passed? Why do I feel glad for that person who has died? Why don’t I feel scared?

The Funeral Ceremony brought up questions also. I walked the halls of this mortuary seeing pictures and plaques of people who have died, and I will never know; and soon in a generation or two no one will remember that person being alive, or know them at all. So what is the point of having all of these rituals associated to death. making plaques, gravestones, photo albums (Boxes labeled “Soandso’s Life” which are sitting in my garage and no one will ever go through). I think I’d rather people forget about me instantly and go on with their life, than cling on to the idea of me until they eventually forget and time moves on.

A good friend recently told me that when she dies, she wants to be buried on a hill, and a tree planted over her. I must say that sounds perfect. Put me in the ground, and plant a Willow Tree over me. I accept that this life is short. I accept that time passes on and will continue to do so for quite some time. I accept that people forget.

I hope it stays that way.

I’ve been pressed about retaining all of the information that has been handed to me in a few of my classes. One especially would be my audio recording class. I’ve been studying for this class and so I’ve had Sound on my mind quite frequently lately.

It’s a very strange occurrence isn’t it? Small hairs in our skull that pick up atmospheric pressure changes, then transformed into electrical code which is then translated into sound. Yet it is so powerful and influential on how we live XD.

I wonder to what extent out bodies are effected by these signals. I’ve come across very Positive effect,  and very Negative effects. For example, Zen Buddhists use sounds and tones to reach heightened levels of consciousness and implement these tones in their daily lives. In fact many religions preach this use of sound. (i.e. Ohm).

Yet there are also Negative usages of these sounds, such as cell phone use, key trigger words used by government officials, and even company advertising.

So when I found myself laying down trying to sleep. I could hear the faint sound of cars passing my house on the main road near my house. I was instantly reminded of past times. While up in northern Arizona as a child my family and I would stay at my grandparents cabin. I can remember going to sleep at night and hearing cars drive by in the distance, which would then sooth me to sleep. Now the other night, the sound of cars passing by was yet again far more soothing than any music I could listen to in order to help me sleep (Although I haven’t thoroughly tested this yet).

At first glance, I find that it’s quite strange that I would be soothed by such a harsh and unnatural sound. Yet upon further inspection I wonder which is more natural of a sound; the tone of a buddhist monk made solely for him/her, Or the faint roar of a car in the distance? The buddhist monk may be conjuring that specific sound due to some predetermined prayer of sorts, or he may just like that sound. But the car, which is driven by someone carrying on their daily/nightly activities completely ignorant that I have that one form of contact with them?

I also find it quite amazing what a simple and precise form of contact we have with each other through sound. All I heard of those automobile’s was the noise of some presumed tired across the road, other than that I had no evidence to claim that person was there. Yet each occurence has effected my life.

O yes, Fall is finally here . life is so much more magical during the fall and winter. Although it’s not really much of a ‘fall’ here.. I still like to imagine though ;D I can notice people in general seem to emit more energy and be happier in colder conditions..

I look forward to my next visit to Flagstaff, I plan on taking a million pictures of trees <(^-^)>

Things are looking good musically, I’m quite in awe to be honest. More has changed and I have learned more in the past few months than any period of time before. Dream the dream right? (I am in need of a new amp, I want a good tube amp (probably Marshal) anyone know of any for cheap, keep an eye out ;D?)

I noticed something weird driving to school the other day. There were “High Pollution Risk” signs strewn across the freeway.. I found it funny that out of everything poisonous that we do/eat/touch etc. that they feel the need to put a sign on the freeway amidst the hundreds of cars producing fossil fuel exhaust; of which our car’s Air Conditioners suck up and spew at us.. think about how much you drive, or are out among cars it’s more a daily part of life now.. ow strange..

O and I’m still unemployed :[ Albertson's bagboy maybe? (A few stores at Fashion Square told me to apply O.o.. though that's a 30-45 min drive)
